What happens if I press the yellow or red button by accident?
The app vibrates while a button is being pressed, allowing you to quickly cancel if the activation was unintentional. Additionally, you can deactivate the alert by confirming your safe arrival.
Who receives the alerts when I press the yellow or red button?
The app sends alerts to up to three emergency contacts that you select during the setup process.
Do I need internet access for the app to work?
Yes, the app requires an internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to send messages and share your GPS location with your emergency contacts.
Can I customize the messages sent when I activate a button?
Yes, you can customize the messages for the yellow button. However, the red button sends a standard emergency message to ensure clarity and speed in urgent situations.
Is my location shared at all times?
No, your location is only shared when you press either the yellow or red button, and it stops once the alert is deactivated.
How will my data be used?
YellowRed prioritizes user security and privacy. User location data for Yellow button activations is not stored. For Red button activations, location data is stored for one week, in the event it may be useful for authorities. No third parties will be granted access to user data, including location data for any reason.
